the essentials in brief
Cleveland Browns @ Baltimore Ravens 33:31
The game couldn’t have started any worse for the Browns. Deshaun Watson threw a pick six on the first drive.
Kyle Hamilton intercepted the ball and took it to the end zone. Subsequently, Watson (213 YDS, 1 TD, 1 INT) suffered an ankle injury, but still persevered and allowed his team to earn a 15-point comeback victory, culminating with a 40-yard field goal on the last play by Dustin Hopkins. . Fun fact: up to that point the Ravens had led the game for 59 minutes. What a nightmare.
Lamar Jackson, the Ravens quarterback, had 223 passing yards, one touchdown pass and two interceptions. The Browns now have a record of six wins and three losses, the Ravens are 7-3.
Houston Texans @ Cincinnati Bengals 30:27
Shock in Cincinnati! The Houston Texans remain one of the positive surprises of the season and also beat the Bengals. Kicker Matt Ammendola secured his team’s victory with a 39-yard field goal on the final play of the game.
Quarterback C.J. Stroud once again put on an offensive show, throwing for 356 yards and a touchdown and running into the end zone himself. However, his interception shortly before the end almost cost the Texans the victory. Thanks to a brilliant last-minute drive in which he covered 55 yards in 93 seconds, Stroud finally made the game-winning field goal.
Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow recorded 347 passing yards and two touchdowns, but also threw two interceptions. Both teams now have a record of five wins and four losses.
San Francisco 49ers @ Jacksonville Jaguars 34:3
After three losses in a row, the San Francisco 49ers are impressively back on the road to success. Quarterback Brock Purdy had a strong game with 296 passing yards and three touchdown passes. Running back Christian McCaffrey gained a total of 142 yards, but was left without a touchdown for the first time in 17 games.

Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence never really found his game. He managed 185 passing yards, went without a touchdown and committed three turnovers (2 interceptions, 1 fumble). The 49ers now have a 6-3 record, just like the Jaguars.
