Drew McIntyre sides with Judgment Day. Meanwhile, a WWE legend should strengthen the opposing faction…
Has the end of WWE Raw finally heralded the long-awaited return?
In the final stages of the show from Washington, Drew McIntyre spoke on behalf of Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions The Judgment Day (Finn Bálor & Damian Priest). His Claymore Kick against Jey Uso led to the defeat of him and Cody Rhodes.
Rhea Ripley, who had made an offer to McIntyre weeks ago, took to the stage: a handshake sealed the alliance between Judgment Day and the Scotsman.
It laid the groundwork for Randy Orton’s return
This now results in the following scenario: Drew McIntyre supports the Judgment Day team as the fifth man in the WarGames match.
However, this would mean that the opposing lineup (Seth Rollins, Cody Rhodes, Sami Zayn, Jey Uso) would be missing a fifth man. Then, when WWE Raw wasn’t on the air, Rhodes told the audience, “We have friends too!”
The much-hyped fifth man on the “American Nightmare” team: RANDY ORTON.
The 43-year-old’s return has been concrete for a few weeks and has been discussed during the “Survivor Series” on November 25th. In the WarGames match, the WWE veteran, unavailable since May last year due to a back injury, could immediately return to the top.
WWE fans will also make assumptions about CM Punk
In this context it is assumed that the wrestling market leader wants to announce Orton’s return to the premium live event shortly or at least indicate it unequivocally, to counter all CM Punk’s speculations.
Since Punk has been a free agent for a few weeks and the “Survivor Series” takes place in his home country, they don’t want to create false expectations and prevent a possible negative reaction from Chicago fans.
For the fans present at WWE Raw in Washington, the decision already seemed clear: they shouted “Randy! Randy!” while Cody talked about possible boyfriends…
This WWE Survivor Series schedule is taking shape…
Next Monday, the last edition of WWE Raw before “Survivor Series”, an 8-man tag team match will take place with confirmed WarGames participants: the winning team will receive the advantage in the WarGames match and will be able to send a new man into the cage to first (an advantage that usually goes to the top team to bring drama to such a match).
In addition to the men’s WarGames match, WWE has announced two other matches for the last PLE of the year: the eight-time intercontinental champion The Miz will challenge the record champion Gunther. And Zoey Stark becomes the challenger to women’s world champion Rhea Ripley.
Meanwhile, on the SmackDown side, the women’s WarGames match is looming, which should become official this Friday. Iyo Sky, Asuka, Kairi Sane and Bayley are expected on the heel side, while Bianca Belair, Charlotte Flair and Shotzi currently appear safe for the babyface side.
The “Survivor Series” will take place on the night of November 25-26 from 2:00 am (German time) on the WWE Network.
