Scores of the 13th matchday: Rodrygo exceptional, Nacho sloppy

Individual criticismThe Whites celebrate a sensational victory over FC Valencia, with Rodrygo Goes and Vinícius Júnior in particular scoring two goals. Toni Kroos also put in an outstanding performance once again, but the central defense around David Alaba and Nacho Fernández proved very vulnerable against the visitors. Starting from the XI

Andriy Lunin

Another strong game from Kepa’s replacement, but he failed to keep a clean sheet due to defensive negligence. Early in the match, Lunin managed to prevent the score from being 1-1 with strong foot defense and another good save against Hugo Duro. When the goal was conceded, the goalkeeper was helpless, even though his hands were still on the ball. TOTAL REAL rating: 1.5.

Dani Carvajal (until 82nd minute)

The best player of the youth season together with Jude Bellingham is Dani Carvajal and it was also the Spaniard who gave Los Blancos the lead with agolazo in the 3rd minute of the game. In the second half, the 31-year-old made a cheeky attempt to score a brace with a shot into the nearest corner, but was denied by the visiting goalkeeper. Defensively, Carvajal was once again a force and managed to shut out Caños, who had made his mark especially in the first half. The Spanish international was rewarded with a standing ovation when he was replaced after an extremely strong performance. REAL TOTAL rating: 1.

Nacho

El Capitano was caught too easily by Hugo Duro in the 11th minute and fortunately Lunin prevented the equalizer with a save with his foot. Even with Duro’s second big chance, Nacho let himself get too far away and was unable to prevent the ball from falling to the Valencia striker. In the second half, Nacho steadied himself and conceded nothing until the 88th minute, but was left behind too easily when the goal was conceded and was unable to prevent it from being conceded. The Spaniard was unable to give the security he needed to the Los Blancos defense and therefore he only earned it TOTAL REAL rating: 3.5.

Davide Alaba

Alaba was the best central defender, but the 31-year-old was also very shaky and had some problems, especially in the first half hour. Just before the half-hour mark, the Austrian cleared the ball past a lurking Duro with a defensive header. However, a coordination problem between Kroos and Lunin was almost punished by a Valencia striker just before half-time, but the visitors’ striker wasted the great chance with a header. Ferland Mendy (until 71st minute)

It seems that the Frenchman is ahead of Fran García in the race for the left-back spot. Against Valencia, however, Mendy appeared a little distracted in the defensive phase in the initial stages. As game time progressed, Mendy was a bench player in defense and also showed his footballing class when he often managed to free himself from opposition pressure in tight spaces. While the 28-year-old doesn’t impress with Marcelo’s attacking drive, it should be noted that Los Blancos’ presence gives stability to the defence. REAL TOTAL rating: 2.

Eduardo Camaving

With Toni Kroos, Camavinga had the Los Blancos midfield under control and could attack more often, especially in the second half, even if nothing significant came of his offensive actions (apart from the pre-assist for the 3-0). The Frenchman received a yellow card for a risky tackle, did not let himself be discouraged and continued to maintain the necessary aggressiveness in the duels. The 21-year-old won his two tackles and showed an excellent passing game with a pass percentage of 91% – 50 out of 55 passes were received. TOTAL REAL rating: 1.5.

Toni Kroos

After Wednesday night’s world-class performance in the Champions League, Kroos continued in the league and was once again one of the best Madrid players on the pitch. The former German international initiated Carvajal’s early lead with a fantastic lateral move. In the 8th minute the midfield maestro was unlucky as his free kick hit the crossbar. The man from Greifswald was also skilled in defense and in the 75th minute he managed to prevent Valencia from having a good opportunity by blocking the cross with his toe. With five tackles, the 33-year-old German led the field the most and managed to win them all! Added to this is the pre-assist for the 5-0. REAL TOTAL rating: 1.

Federico Valverde (until the 58th minute)

An unflashy but good performance from el Halcón, who worked very well on the right side both defensively and offensively and supported Carvajal where he could. However, the Uruguayan’s clash with the visiting goalkeeper was evident when he took Mamardashvili’s knee to the kidneys, which is why Valverde finished in the 58th minute. A strong pass rate of 90% and a key pass rounded out the 25-year-old’s performance. REAL TOTAL rating: 2.

Brahim Díaz (until 71st minute)

The little Malaga setter didn’t offer as brilliant a performance on matchday 13 as against Braga, but he was always ready to play in attack and it was difficult for Valencia’s defense to catch him. The Spaniard triggered Vinícius’ offside chance in the 60th minute with a wonderful pass that would have yielded an assist. Brahim made way for Lucas Vázquez in the 71st minute and stepped in as Bellingham’s replacement for more game time, although he was denied a scoring point today. TOTAL REAL rating: 2.5.

Rodrygo goes

A powerful performance by Rodrygo Goes! Rodrygo’s positioning paid off early in the match; The Brazilian’s deep running through the center was instrumental in ensuring that Carvajal was under less pressure from his opponents when he finished. After just under half an hour, the 22-year-old exposed his compatriot Vinícius with an irresistible dribble, sending four Valencia players out in a narrow space.
